Creating an Assignment

1. Navigate to Canvas Assignments and click + Assignment.
2. Under Submission Type, select External Tool.
3. Click Find, then select Breakout Learning.

4. The Breakout Learning catalog opens inside Canvas.

5. Browse and select an experience, then click Add to Canvas.

6. Configure Assignment settings:
   
   
   1. Set Grouping Method and Maximum Group Size.
   2. Set whether assignment should be graded.
      1. If yes, set Grading Criteria - percentage of points allocated to Quiz Score, Attendance, Completion, and AI-Based Critical Thinking Score.
7. Select Add to Class.
8. Click Select to save the external tool selection.
9. Configure Canvas grading settings (points, due dates, etc.).
   1. Due Date or Available Until Date must be set on Canvas.
   2. If it's a graded assignment**, ensure the assignment has a point value greater than 0** for grades to appear in the Canvas Gradebook.
10. Click Save & Publish to activate the assignment.
11. Click Confirm to confirm assignment configurations.
