Start or Join a Session

At your group's scheduled session time, any group member can start the session. Other group members can then join the live session.  It is recommended to confirm the session start date/time before starting the session. You must complete the experience in one setting.

1. The first student who joins will click "Start Session," the remaining students will click "Join Session:"  Each member is required to use their own computer and discuss the case questions with your peers. 

2. Session waiting room: When you join the session, you will enter a waiting room to confirm group attendance, and check your camera and microphone. 

You will also see the status of your group members through the following icons:
  • Grey “X” - Student has not joined their session
  • Orange Clock- Student is also in the waiting room
  • Green “checkmark” - Student has started the session


Once all members have joined, you can advance to the live session. The group leader will be notified of their role, and you will see a badge next to their name. If the assigned group leader is not present, the system will automatically assign a new group leader.

3. Live Experience: Each segment will begin with an agenda describing the segment. Then, you may a video introducing key points, polls, and/or questions where you discuss  you and your group members' insights. Additional exhibits may appear on the right-hand side to provide you with helpful information that you may use to support your opinions during the discussions. 

  • When your group has finished discussing, the group leader will click “Next Slide.” An Agenda is also available to track your group's progress throughout the discussion.
  •  If another student would like to be group leader, click the “badge” icon in the bottom-middle toolbar. They will be prompted to accept the group leader role.
