Follow the steps below to set and/or edit assignment settings on app.breakoutlearning.com:
1. Click the desired class.

2. Click Explore Catalog.

3. Click on the experience you would like to add to the class.

4. Click on Add to Class.

5. Set the Available From and Due Dates for this assignment.
Note: times should always appear in your local device's time zone.

6. Select Student Self Grouping or Automatic Randomized Grouping.
Student Self Grouping: students are responsible for creating and joining groups on the platform.
Automatic Randomized Grouping: the platform creates groups automatically for your students.

7. Enter your Desired Group Size and click Continue.
Breakout allows up to 8 students per group, but the ideal group size is around 5.

8. Click Yes or No to Configure Grading on the Assignment.
Whether you configure grading or not, the platform still delivers AI insights and participation analytics. The grade is simply an overall score that weighs various metrics to your specifications.
9. If you click yes, you may adjust the percentages of each criteria to your desired preferences. If you click no, skip ahead.

10. Click on Add to Class.

11. The experience has now been assigned and will appear in your Class. If you want to edit the Assignment settings, click on the Assignment again.

12. Click Settings in the upper right.

13. Reconfigure any of the Assignment settings you would like and click Continue. To delete the assignment, click Delete Experience.
Note: some settings become locked once students follow your invitation link. If a setting is locked and you need urgent assistance, contact support@breakoutlearning.com.

14. Once all of your changes have been made, click Save Changes.
