- Download Chrome: Our software is currently only accessible in a Chrome browser. Please download Chrome if you have not already prior to accessing the platform.
- Click the invite link: Follow the Breakout invite link provided by your instructor.
- Create your account: You should create an account using your institutional email. If this is your first time using Breakout, you will complete your login using a single-sign on email.
- Allow camera and microphone: Breakout is a discussion-based software that will require you to enable your camera and microphone.
- Purchase Tokens: Your experience will require the purchase of tokens. You will be prompted to pay securely using any major credit card and taken back to the Breakout Platform once completed.
- Access your class: You may need to refresh your browser or re-click your invitation link in order to find your experience.
Complete the pre-work: Prior to meeting with your group, ensure you have completed the pre-work materials provided by your instructor or within the Breakout Platform once you’ve joined a group. If your instructor has not assigned pre-work, you will have an option to view the pre-work in the Breakout platform via PDF or Podcast.
