Create an Account

A Breakout team member will provide you with a link to create an instructor account. This link is unique to you and should not be shared. 

Logging in:

  1. Click the instructor link given to you by Breakout.
  2. Login with your institutional email address.
    1. It’s important to know if your institution’s email domain is associated with Google or Microsoft. Choose whichever login option pertains to your institution.
  3. You will be prompted to allow your microphone and video to be allowed - Once you have allowed both, the system will auto-detect your microphone and camera. If, after a few moments, you cannot click the “Looks Good” button, try refreshing your screen.
  4. On the left side panel you will see Classes, Student View, Instructor View, Explore Catalog, and Assistant tabs.
    1. Classes is where your classes will be once you’ve created them.
    2. Explore Catalog allows you to explore Breakout's content library.
    3. Student View allows you to see what your students will see once they’ve followed your invitation link.
    4. Assistants allows you to invite a TA to create classes and view your completed session results.
